KOCHI: Host BPCL's Devendra Joshi capped his fine run by winning the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board's inter-unit snooker title at the Regional Sports Centre here on Monday.

After a surprise bounce-back victory over former world snooker champion Pankaj Advani in the semifinals, the seasoned Joshi defeated ONGC's Alok Kumar 3-1 in the final.

"I took some chances and they paid off," said Joshi about his stunning semifinal victory (he was down 0-2) over Pankaj Advani, the National snooker champion.

However, it was virtually a cakewalk for ONGC's Pankaj Advani, who notched up breaks of 397 (the tournament's highest) and 199 on his way to the billiards title.
